ABOUT STEP

Training, Coaching and Skills Development

The Quinte Skills Training Employment Program (STEP) is focused on the Transportation, Hospitality, Accounting and Finance sectors. STEP helps employers and job seekers access a dependable workforce and sustainable employment.

Our STEP Employers benefit from reaching a pool of trained, skilled, and dependable candidates to hire, contributing to reduce turnover rates and associated recruitment and training costs.

Our STEP participants will advance their soft skills through our pre-employment training program and gain certification training essential to entry-level positions within the selected industry.

The STEP program is primarily open to unemployed or precariously employed citizens, permanent residents and certain protected persons, 18 years or older, living within our catchment area.
