ABOUT STEP

Training, Coaching and Skills Development

The Quinte Skills Training Employment Program (STEP) is focused on assisting participants in gaining skills development and certification in the high demand sectors of employment in our region. STEP helps employers and job seekers access a dependable workforce and sustainable employment.

Our STEP Employers benefit from reaching a pool of trained, skilled, and dependable candidates to hire, contributing to reduced turnover rates and associated recruitment and training costs.

Our STEP participants will advance their soft skills through our pre-employment training program and gain certification training essential to entry-level positions within the selected industries.

The STEP program is primarily open to unemployed or precariously employed citizens, permanent residents and certain protected persons, 18 years or older, living within our catchment area.
